The latest design and interior events of 2024: Feria Hábitat Valencia and Interihotel

Feria Hábitat Valencia and Interihotel attract over 50,000 attendees each year, making them the must-attend design and interior events in the last quarter of 2024. In this post, we preview the key highlights of each, both of which share a focus on hospitality.

Feria Hábitat Valencia 2024: WOW effect, kitchen, and textiles

From September 30 to October 3, 2024, more than 600 international brands will showcase their latest furniture and lighting innovations in Valencia. As mentioned, the hospitality industry will be one of the main themes of this edition’s talks. Specifically, it will be addressed through a series of conferences organized by the Hotel Technology Institute during the first three days of the fair. The cycle will take place in the conference area of Hotel Hábitat València, a space designed by Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez to recreate a cutting-edge hotel featuring the best of the Spanish habitat industry.

In addition to this new focus on hospitality, this edition will host Espacio Cocina SICI, the only event of its kind in Spain. Don’t miss the latest trends in countertops, appliances, or auxiliary furniture, the II intersectoral kitchen colloquium, or AMC Kitchen Lab, turnkey booths with a unified design and fixed price. 2024 is undoubtedly the year of kitchens, spurred by the simultaneous EuroCucina event.

Textiles will also continue to play a prominent role at Feria Hábitat Valencia with the third consecutive edition of Textilhogar, where synergies between home and contract sectors will be explored.

Finally, be inspired by emerging talents at the nude Salon, which this year will feature designs from schools and studios in France, Argentina, Mexico

Interihotel 2024: resonating like a Supernova

The next date to mark in your calendar is November 19-21, at IFEMA Madrid. Hotel and restaurant design professionals and 220 exhibiting brands will gather again at Interihotel’s boutique event. Considering that Spain leads tourism development in Europe, with expectations of over 113 million tourists and 352 million overnight stays in 2024, it’s clear that creating an experience around hospitality has become an essential goal.

This year’s theme, Supernova, will be the guiding thread throughout the three central days of Interihotel 2024:

  • November 19: BLOOM DESIGN – Stendhal experiences, where the value of design as a catalyst for projects will be explored, and trends, user experience, new hospitality concepts, and the impact of art on building creation will be discussed.
  • November 20: IMPACT DESIGN – Conscious evolution, which will delve into the environmental and social sustainability that hotels and restaurants can generate, as well as diversity and inclusion, holistic well-being, circular design, and regenerative systems.
  • November 21: VISIONARY DESIGN – Shaping futures, which will evaluate the role of innovation and technology in the sector. On this day, the case study of the world’s first 3D-printed hotel will be analyzed.
