With less than a month to go until the start of Casa Decor 2019, the biggest interior design and trends exhibition in Spain, we’re showing you its next home: an historical building in the heart of the Madrid suburb of Salamanca.
Casa Decor is an unmissable event on the calendar of all lovers of interior design. Preparations are already underway for the next edition, number 54, which will take place from January 24th to March 10th. There will be six weeks of exhibition during which it is estimated that more than a thousand people will visit the venue daily.
The unique thing about Casa Decor is that each edition is held in a new space in which some of the best Spanish decorators, interior designers, and architects create real spaces: living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms etc. Casa Decor is like a huge decorating and trends magazine on a life-size scale.
Changing the decor is essential to making each edition of Casa Decor unique, overtaking a different building every year and one which always has some historical character. On this occasion, it will be held at 86 Núñez de Balboa Street, a classical building in the Madrid suburb of Salamanca, which is full of light and possibilities and which was built in 1925.
Among the unique characteristics of the building which the designers will try to make the most of are its balconies, high ceilings, original flooring, and diverse decorative details such as doors and mouldings. The building has more than 50 different spaces spread out over four floors, as well as an inner courtyard and two terraces. Overall, it has over 2,250 square metres in which the participating designers can give free reign to their creativity.
If you know a lover of decorating, we have just the gift idea for them this Christmas. How about a visit to Casa Decor 2019? Tickets are already on sale.
