The homes of the future will be smarthomes characterised by hyperconnectivity. Robot vacuum cleaners that you can control with your mobile phone and other devices that allow you to automate household chores are already a common sight in family homes.
Advancements in artificial intelligence have made it easier to manage our homes, giving us more free time and ensuring our health and safety. One such tool that’s been making waves on the market thanks to the Internet of Things is the smart lock.
Sustainability
Looking after the environment and reducing our energy consumption are both growing concerns among the general population. The installation of solar panels that facilitate the use of renewable energy in existing buildings is already becoming more common. This trend will continue to grow and the number of Nearly-Zero Energy Buildings and structures built using the Passivhaus standards will increase.
In line with the environmental trend, urban gardens will become a must-have. These spaces can be placed on rooftop terraces, balconies, and vertical spaces, making it possible for everyone to consume organic, locally grown produce.

Flexible spaces
In the future, different rooms, such as the living room or kitchen, will be designed as flexible spaces, meaning they can be used for their traditional purpose as well as adapt to other activities, such as working from home or exercising. Hygienic materials
