For a week in April (from the 16th to the 21st), the global design spotlight turns to Milan once again. At Connections by Finsa, we want to make your visit easier by highlighting the most relevant aspects of Salone del Mobile 2024, which is celebrating its 62nd edition and continues to set the trends in interior design year after year.
25 years of young talent
This year marks the 25th anniversary of SaloneSatellite, the space dedicated to young talents under 35. Triennale di Milano will host an exhibition from April 16th to 28th showcasing a selection from the more than 14,000 individuals from 270 international design schools who have participated in Salone del Mobile over the past two decades. A special edition is also planned for the fair, taking place in pavilions 5 and 7.
Eurocucina redefines kitchen narratives
Eurocucina, the biennial kitchen event, will feature 100 exhibitors who will reflect the new narratives and values of this space that now represents the desire for conviviality and well-being without sacrificing a connection to nature and sustainability. Don’t miss our upcoming posts, as we at Connections by Finsa will be closely following how these changes in kitchen design are applied.
Flex living: expanded living
The living sector has evolved into a subsector known as flex living (coliving, serviced apartments, and senior living). According to Observatorio Inmobiliario, these booming environments are characterized by absolute flexibility and modularity.
At Salone del Mobile, you can’t miss Il senso di Finsa per il legno, a creation by Parisotto+Formenton Studio. This installation is based on research into trends and behaviors with the aim of highlighting the relationships that people experience in these shared spaces, where work and interaction with inhabitants take place.
