Milan Design Week will be held again in 2025 between April 7 and 13, including the famous Salone del Mobile fair and its parallel branches, Fuorisalone and Euroluce.
Under the Mondi theme connessi (Connected Worlds), this edition will focus on exploring the connections between advanced technology, sustainability, and global cultures through innovative exhibitions and interactive installations. In Connections by Finsa, we present a selection of the most outstanding proposals in the city’s main design districts.
Brera District: a sensory journey
Brera Design District continues to consolidate itself as the epicenter of design during Milan Design Week. This year, 204 permanent exhibition halls will be open to visitors, including 10 new openings, and more than 170 temporary exhibitors.
Underlight, design as nature by Finsa x Arturo Álvarez, stands out as a unique sensory experience. Created in collaboration with artisan Arturo Álvarez, this installation invites visitors on a journey from the forest to spaces built from wood through light sculptures, offering a reflection on the relationship between nature and architecture. This project, aligned with the theme Thought for humans, puts the human being at the center, inviting us to reflect on the impact of wood on the spaces we inhabit.
Michela Picchi ‘s installation Glo will merge pop art and surrealism using invisible technologies, creating an immersive experience that stimulates the senses and transports you to a world of bright, surreal colours.
As a finishing touch to these immersive experiences, Morph Inn, by Bridgestone, will be a Zen robotic lounge that combines Japanese relaxation principles with advanced technology, providing a space for well-being and mindfulness.
Tortona Design District: creative revolution
The Tortona Design District celebrates its 10th anniversary with the motto Design without Frames, an invitation to rethink the boundaries of design. In this edition, Superstudio Più commemorates its 25 years of history with an immersive exhibition that revolves around the concept of happiness as a driver of change.
In a similar approach, IKEA will present Do something. Change Everything, a reflection on how our small, everyday decisions can generate significant change in our lives and our environment.
5VIE: invisible harmonies
The 5VIE district, famous for its avant-garde style, is presenting this year Invisible Harmonies, an exhibition that will be held in iconic locations such as the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology and Palazzo Correnti.

Porta Venezia: Design without borders
The Porta Venezia district continues to advocate for inclusive design, and this year, under the motto No boundaries design, proposes an approach that challenges the barriers of traditional design.
Making the invisible visible is Google’s proposal, created in collaboration with artist Lachlan Turczan, which transforms spaces using light. This installation is an example of how design can make the untouchable tangible, playing with the perception of space.
Another outstanding example of this district will be SENSES, an immersive experience that combines tactile contrasts, olfactory stimuli, and a carefully designed soundscape, immersing the audience in a complete sensory experience.
